My Face Is Soft As a Baby's Bottom

I know that their are a lot of makeup wipe products out on the market that many of you out there swear by, but I'm going to give you the real deal about these products. many of these makeup wipes on the market contains a high level of fragrance, alcohol and a bunch of ingredients that are NOT good for the face. The skin on your face is one of the most sensitive parts of your body which is why anything with high levels of alcohol is not good for the skin. Especially the skin on your face. Many of us have been experiencing break out from some of these wipes on the market( I will not say any names) but it's important to read the ingredient's in products before making a purchase. If you see alcohol listed as an ingredient you may want to stay clear of this product. Moving forward I've gotten a lot of questions about people asking me what I use to wipe the make up off my face and believe it or not I use Pampers unscented sensitive baby wipes. These wipes are alcohol free which means they contains NO ethanol or rubbing alcohol and they have no fragrance. I absolutely love this product to remove the make up off my face, they get the job done it also cost less than what you would pay for those other wipes on the market. And what's even better is that I don't get any break outs. let's be honest if these wipes are good enough for a baby's bottom then they must be good enough for the face :)

The Truth About Red Lipstick

I've been getting a lot of questions about how to wear red lipstick. Red lipstick is something that can be worn to bring your little black dress to life, it can easily make or break an outfit. The only thing about wearing red lipstick is that you can easily make yourself look like bozo the clown if done incorrectly. The truth of the matter is that any woman can wear lipstick it's just a matter of picking out the right shade of red. The first thing you want to do when choosing a red lipstick is to look at your skin tone. The darker your skin tone the darker your shade of red should be. For example, paler skin tones look better in red lipstick that is rich in pink undertones , berry tones and plum tones.

Darker complexions and olive tones look better with golden, Orange and brown based red tones. Now the next thing you may want look at is the shape of your lips, if you have thin lips then lighter shades of red will flatter your lips and make them look fuller, but if you have fuller lips you may want to use darker shades of red.

Now when you actually wearing the red lipstick it's important to keep the eyes neutral. You don't want to do to use too much color so a neutral eyeshadow application or a basic smokey eye would be perfect to bring out your sensual red lips.

Summer Time Cracked Heels

Summer time is FINALLY here and many of us couldn't wait to throw on flip flops or those super cute sandals. HOWEVER , many of you are committing the ultimate NO NO!!!!! and that is forgetting to CHECK THE BACK OF THOSE HEELS!!! crusty heels and feet seem to be the new phenomenon this summer and its running ramped through the streets of New York City. The problem is that many of us feel that once we get a pedicure that's all we need to do to our feet. The truth of the matter is that we need to take more steps to maintain our feet. Here's how to maintain your feet at home with these 3 Simple steps in the shower:

While in the shower you can start by using a Pumice foot stone to wash your feet.

After both feet are washed off you can use a exfoliating foot scrub to exfoliate your feet( I prefer Salley Hansens ultra smoothing foot scrub.

After you have finished your shower and dried off your feet you can lotion your feet using Salley Hansens Hydrating foot creme.

I hope this helps you guys to achieve the smooth feet that I am soooo wishing for lol :)

Nail Art Makes a Come back....

So I opted to jump on the ban wagon( something I don't do very often) and join the nail crazed evolution of nail art. This Trend has quickly become the new "cool" thing to do this summer. I for one am not the type of person to do what everyone else is doing but, I figured "what the hell" let me go for it. I never get any kind of designs on my nails; just a simple polish and I'm good to go. The most I would do to add a little funk to my nails is get a neon color. Anyway, I was looking for a manicurist for a photo shoot I was doing and I was referred to a friend of a friend. When I took a look at her work I was absolutely amazed at her art work. I decided to go out of my element and give her a try. She did such a great job with the art work on my nails. Unlike most nail technicians that I've encountered she was really friendly and attentive to my needs. In addition to the nail art, she gave me the most amazing pedicure (for those of you that live in Brooklyn, NY, you know exactly what I mean when I say it's hard to find a good nail tech that's not gonna rush you out the chair to get to the next customer). Anyway guys, check her out! you can find her on twitter @CampbellSoup_
Here's a picture of of my nails

Smokey Eyes Smoked all out

So the other day I went to an event and I decided to go for a smokey eye. I posted the picture to my facebook and a got a lot of compliments and questions on what products I used to create this look. Below you will find the picture and the list of products I used.
On my face I started off with Imans oil control agent face Primer
Then I used Black opal creme stick foundation
I then used a eyeshadow primer on my eyelids straight to the brow bone
once the primer was on I colored just the lids of my eyelids with NYX white Jumbo pencil
I then used my eyeshadow brush to place NYX Ultra Pearl Pigment " Charcoal Pearl" on just my lids( On top of where you placed the the NYX white)
I then took the Medium color blue from my 80 color palette and placed it on top to the lid( Just on the lid don't go any higher)
take your bending brush and blend out the color
take any black eyeshadow with your blending brush and place it on the corner of your eyes and blend it into the crease.
use a highlighter the color for under your brow bone( I used off white from my color palette)
I used Mac gel Liner to line my top lash line and my lower lash lash line
I went over my lower lash line with black eyeshadow
I also used the NYX Jumbo pencil in green to line under my lower lash line
I applied HIPS "Ticked" blush to my cheeks
I then applied some false lashes by "ModLashes"
I lined my lips with NYX brown lip pencil
I used Maybellene's "Rose Hush" lipstick and mixed it with NYC "Chiffon" lipstick then topped off my lips with a thin coat of Victoria Secrets lip gloss
So there it is guys.. If you have any questions please feel free to email me at Casademuse@gmail.com and send me pictures if you recreated this look. I've also been getting a lot of request to do videos so look out for that. Until then stay beautiful dolls.

IMAN Undercover Agent

Ok ladies so Imans Under Cover Agent Oil Control Primer is a must have for this summer. This foundation primer is placed on the face before you apply your foundation. I for one was kinda skeptical about this product but I figured I would just go for it and to my great surprise this product worked better than I expected. Using this primer will help your foundation set and last longer and it also keeps your face from looking greasy and sweaty. This formula is light weight which is perfect for the summer. It can cost anywhere between $13-$15 bucks. Ladies make sure when when your going shopping for your summer beauty products make sure Imans undercover agent is on your list.

NYC Cosmetics Lipstick made me sad

So I happened to be in Duane Reade ( Not surprised huh) and as I was browsing down the isles I noticed that NYC Cosmetics had some really pretty lipstick out on display. I remember a while ago I purchased a deep red lipstick shade and I didn't have any complaints about it, so I thought what the heck let me try some more colors. I purchased two shades of the Ultra moist Lip wear collection in the color Chiffon and Bloosom and to be honest I was disappointed. I mean, I really don't know why I was that disappointed because it was only $0.99 each, but darn!!! these lipsticks aren't very high in pigment and should be considered more of a lip balm than a lipstick, but whatever. To make matters worst as soon as you put a lip gloss over it, it came right off. Overall I don't think I will purchase another product from this line.

Black Opal Stick Foundation....Am I In Love?

So lately I've been hearing alot about this Black Opal sick foundation. I've seen this products for years in the drug stores, but I never paid it any attention. The other day I was on twitter and I saw a tweet by a celebrity make up artist ranting and raving about this product; so I decided to give it a try. Honey! can you say AMAZING!!! I love this foundation so much. It gives you FULL coverage and it was only $9.95. The best thing about this stick foundation is that its not heavy and can easily be mixed to create your perfect foundation match and for $9.95 you also get ALOT of product. I recommend this product if you have skin discoloration and blemishes you are tyring to hide, but if you have oily skin this isn't for you.
